What is protected
All data is stored locally on the user's device.
The vault is encrypted with the master password.
There is no universal shared key for all users.
The master password can contain Latin letters, Cyrillic, digits, spaces and special characters.

VP Studio implemented an encryption system built around your master password. When the master password changes, the encryption of the vault file changes as well. This means access to the data depends directly on how well your master password is protected. If an attacker obtains it, for example through a keylogger or other malware, the security of the vault is compromised. That is why we strongly recommend using reliable licensed antivirus software, maintaining overall system security and downloading VP SecretBox only from the official source.
